Dr. Clara Song

Meet Dr. Song
As a dentist, I have the amazing chance to actually improve the lives of every patient I see. From making an aesthetic change to eliminating pain or discomfort, I can make such a profound difference. I am grateful that my patients have given me the opportunity to work with them to take control of their dental health. I can honestly say that my life is full of laughter and joy from serving my patients. Having an artistic eye is such a great asset in the world of dentistry. Each smile is such a beautiful work of art that my patients can feel confident to show the world.
Education and Continuing Education
What I learned in dental school at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry provided a great foundation for my dental knowledge. But, like any other field, mastering dentistry takes hard work, endless curiosity, love for finding solutions for things that had no answers before, and seeing the results for the procedure that got completed for the patient. There is no replacement for knowledge; we will never know what we don’t know. I believe that I need to continuously be in the learning mode to best serve my patients.
There is much advancement in technology every year, every month, every day, and it is the same for dentistry. Seeing my patients getting better and giving them better choices for treatment option is my greatest goal. By continuing my education, I have gained an appreciation for naturopathic and holistic dentistry, and discovered the many ways in which dental health relates to the physiological health of my patients.
I am a member of many study clubs, both locally and across the country. I am currently involved in the Pacific Coast Study Club and LVI Premier Advanced Dental Studies, both of which allow many hours of continuing education opportunities in the areas of neuromuscular dentistry, TMJ/TMD treatment, full-mouth reconstruction, and sleep medicine.

Outside the Office
Before moving to Bellevue, WA, I lived all over, gaining an interest for different cultures and ways of life. I was born in Korea and moved to Canada where I became a citizen. My studies took me to California and before settling down here, I lived in Georgia for ten years. Bellevue is such a wonderful community and I am so happy to call it home for good! I am the proud mother of three beautiful children, Isaiah, Elisa, and Eliana, and the cutest puppy, Winter. Since I was a vocal music major in my undergraduate studies, I have always loved music and fine arts. I love to attend concerts and plays, and even participated in the Atlanta Symphonic Choir. Now, of course, my children are in the age where I am busy being a back stage mom to ballet, Seattle Girls Choir, piano recitals, and sports activities.
